ADM Tronics Joins Triotech Ventures Technology Consortium

ADM Tronics Unlimited, Inc. has announced that it has entered into an affiliation with Triotech Ventures, (triotechventures.com) (“Triotech”) a technology consortium based in Cambridge, Massachusetts founded by Dr. Gianluca DeNovi, a recently appointed member of ADMT’s Advisory Board.

The mission of Triotech is to support foreign medical technology companies with specialized services and finances to assist such companies to access the North American marketplace through a US-based subsidiary. For each accepted project, Triotech selects a team of partners, companies and professionals with specific expertise for a particular project. ADMT was selected to join the consortium to provide engineering, regulatory and manufacturing services for Triotech projects.

ADMT has already participated with Triotech in the founding of two new subsidiary companies:

Angiodroid America, Inc. was founded in February 2014 as a subsidiary to Angiodroid Srl of Bologna, Italy, (angiodroid.com) that has developed a patented medical device technology that allows automated injection of carbon dioxide (“CO2″) into the blood stream for angiography procedures as an alternative to both the typically-used iodine contrast fluid, as well as manually injected CO2 . Iodine based contrast fluid can have unwanted effects and is not tolerated well by patients with allergic reactions. CO2 is not reported to have such negative effects but the manual procedure requires extreme caution. The Angiodroid device automates and simplifies the process of using CO2 providing physicians greater control and reduced dangers. The Angiodroid device is already available on the European market.

Biotechware America, Inc. was founded in June 2014 as a subsidiary of Biotechware, Srl of Turin, Italy, (biotechware.com) an early stage company that has developed a portable electrocardiography device (“ECG”) trademarked “CardioPad” that can stream ECG test results through an internet service center. The device has potential application in many diverse fields including the military, pharmacies, assisted living facilities, and private homes. Differentiated from other electrocardiography devices, CardioPad is a smart medical device that can be a platform to offer a series of ancillary services to the ECG tests.

ADMT will be providing engineering and regulatory services to both Angiodroid and Biotechware through its participation in Triotech and will be the exclusive manufacturer of the devices for the North American market, once FDA clearance is achieved for these technologies.

ADM Tronics Appoints Gianluca DeNovi, Ph.D. To Advisory Board

yahoo logoADM Tronics Unlimited, Inc. has appointed Gianluca DeNovi, Ph.D. to its corporate Advisory Board for business development.

Dr. DeNovi is an instructor at the Harvard Medical School and Visiting Professor at the University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome. He received his Masters degree in Electronics Engineering and his Ph.D. in Robotics and Control Systems from the University of Bologna. After spending a year as a visiting researcher at the Bio-Robotics Laboratory of Harvard School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, he completed his postdoctoral fellowship in medical simulation at the Department of Imaging of the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston.

Dr. DeNovi is a serial entrepreneur and has funded several successful companies in the med-tech and hi-tech fields.  He has been a scientific consultant to many leading corporations and research institutions during his career.

Last year the PrimiDieci Society and the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce awarded Dr. DeNovi as one of the 10 most distinguished Italian Professionals in the USA under 40 years of age.

Dr. DeNovi’s interest in computer-based surgery simulation started with exploration of cutting edge technologies for graphic rendering and development of a complete virtual reality framework optimized for surgery simulation. Since 2007, he has concentrated his research interests on physical simulation of soft tissues, creating new models and approaches optimized for haptic rendering. During his postdoctoral fellowship he focused on other crucial aspects of surgery simulation, such as real-time gesture analysis, task recognition and augmented reality.  Here in the US he created several companies and founded and leads the consortium, Triotech Ventures, where together with partners, supports foreign companies interested in approaching the North American market.
